EforE Conducted the Second Training to Build the Capacity of Local Government Officers and Community Leaders in the Field of Energy
            As a part of UN Joint Programme on Integrated Highland Livelihood Development in Mae Hong Son (UNJP), EforE conducted capacity building program for Local Government Officers and community leaders in the field of energy. Its objective is to enhance the capacity of local governments and community leaders mainly in the area of renewable energy as well as to encourage their skills for local energy planning.
            EforE conducted the second training course to build the capacity of local government officers and community leaders in the field of energy during 9-11 July 2012 in Chiangmai. The trainees included 24 representatives from Mae Suad TAO and Mae Yuam TAO, as well as 3 representatives from Local Community Development Department.
            This course included the workshop on local energy planning as well as study trip to the Mae Kam Pong micro hydropower project, the solar dryer project of the Royal Project Development Center Teen Tok, the biomass gasification stove project at Ban Wang Pom, the biogas project from Department of Livestock Development, and the demonstration base on renewable projects of the DEDE.  The study trip helped the attendances to get better understanding on renewable energy utilization. Moreover, the TAO officers, the community leaders, and EforE will conduct some pilot projects according to their energy plan.
